New CS2 Update: A Wave of Bans is Coming
Valve released a patch for CS2 that fixes several bugs in the new CS2 update. The developers have also improved the voice chat activation algorithm, which should now prevent lag issues for users.
Changelog:
-
Fixed an issue where weapon animations played incorrectly when inspecting during reload.
-
Resolved most lag issues caused by in-game voice chat.
-
Improved the voice chat activation function via keypress, eliminating lags when using the voice chat function for the first time.
-
Enhanced connection quality in the presence of packet loss or other issues by automatically adjusting the frequency of user command sends to ensure they reach the server sooner.
-
Improved readability of the health indicator for teammates at low resolutions.
In addition to all this, hidden files in Counter-Strike 2 revealed mentions of gathering information about players' PC components.
This involves identifying the processor, its physical core count, the capacity and usage of RAM, and a full description of the graphics card. It is important to note that all collected information is sent to the developers.
Following the recent update, some players have seen their Trust Factor status turn red. We believe this is a precursor to a significant wave of bans targeting cheaters.
