The rarest skin for the AK-47 in CS2 was sold for over a million dollars
The owner of an extremely rare AK-47 skin Case Hardened with pattern 661 and a StatTrak kill counter confirmed that the item had been sold to an unnamed buyer. The details of the transaction were not disclosed, but it is known that the final amount exceeded one million dollars.
Initially, this CS2 AK-47 skin was valued at $2 million, but the buyout amount was later reduced to $1.5 million. As noted by a representative of the former skin owner on social network X, potential buyers had repeatedly offered to buy the item for one million dollars but were refused. Meanwhile, the skin holder was willing to lend it to donk from Team Spirit.
The sale of the AK-47 | Case Hardened with pattern 661 and StatTrak kill counter became the largest deal in CS2 — at least among those that have been announced publicly. In April 2023, a similar skin with four holographic Titan stickers and a "Case Hardened" Karambit knife were transferred to a collector from China for $500,000.
